Fiscal Reform

With a spendthrift government like this one—irresponsible, crazy.

Because of that, it spends far more than it raises in revenue.

So it raises taxes to increase revenue, to spend more.

And the math doesn't add up.

There were deficit after primary deficit, there was a jump in debt that not even countries at war had such an increase as Brazil's; it went from 73% of GDP to 79%, a single deficit in the first year of 230 billion reais, and the government keeps increasing revenue, raising taxes, when we already have the highest tax burden among all emerging countries.

Thus, those businessmen who have some benefit with the federal government, right, there are over 200 billion reais granted in tax privileges, most of which began under Dilma's government; granted, it comes out of the worker's pocket, the taxpayer's, directly to the richest; in this Lula term, in which so much was said against these tax privileges, not a cent of those 200 billion reais were targeted by the presidency of the Republic.

Now, a set of laws that we passed in the National Congress, I don't know exactly how Deputy Kim voted, but the tax reform is a reform... that aims to organize Brazil's tax system to stimulate the industry and commerce sectors, primarily.

To end the tax war and, therefore, those privileges the deputy speaks of.
