Sérgio Moro: Mr. President, I just want to record that I reported this bill, which is from Federal Deputy Carlos Jordy, Bill 5,391 of 2020, and, to make it easy to understand, this bill sends a message to the world of crime, to organized crime especially: whoever carries out an attack, kills a police officer — what they call in the movies, Senator Jayme Campos, a "cop killer", an assassin of police officers — will serve the sentence in a maximum-security federal penitentiary, 22 hours in an individual cell per day, with only two hours of recreation outside the individual cell.
A harsh prison regime, yes, but a necessary prison regime for someone who has the audacity to commit murder against a police officer.
Sérgio Moro: So, we need to be strict on this matter.
