Flavio Bolsonaro: PT (Workers' Party) has always been like that, the guys would hold their ceremonies, their PT congresses, and they'd play the Communist International, not the Brazilian National Anthem.
Flavio Bolsonaro: they never cared about that, they always preferred the color red over the green and yellow colors. Bolsonaro picked that flag up from the trash, recovered the pride of us being Brazilian again, in his way, and always valued that. We're military, we swear an oath to the flag, if necessary to die for my country, and he is like that. And the left builds this narrative as if Eduardo were against the country.
And it's complete madness, because he's defending the recovery of freedom in our country, freedom of expression, freedom of the press now that it's threatened. So, this is something that has been built over time. This is our fight to defend liberties. Even though we always took hits from the press, we always respected divergent opinions. When we felt slandered, then you file a lawsuit. There's a law that guarantees that. So, there was never persecution by the press, there were never threats to the press, just as there was no threat from Eduardo in any way to national sovereignty.
