Kim Kataguiri: Lula himself made statements, at the time of the approval, defending the "blouse tax."
Magically, in an election year, Lula copies yet another measure from my term and institutes the end of the "blouse tax"—a tax that he himself created, that he himself signed, that PT itself voted for in the plenary of this Chamber of Deputies.
Kim Kataguiri: I challenge any Parliamentarian to contradict me. I challenge any Parliamentarian from the Government’s base, any Parliamentarian from PT to come here and say that I am lying, that PT voted against the "blouse tax."

Get the stenographic records, get the footage from the Chamber of Deputies, get the footage from the Senate of the Republic and you will see that I was one of the only Deputies—one can count on the fingers of one hand the Deputies who were against the "blouse tax"—who made a point of taking the microphone and saying that I was absolutely opposed and that it was hypocrisy on the part of Lula's Government to fleece the poorest worker on a $50 purchase, but not the richer one, who has the possibility of leaving the country.
