"II — Rapporteur's Vote Today I address this Plenary with the mission of reporting on an important instrument for strengthening the economy of Brazil and of our partners in Mercosur.
Kim Kataguiri: This is the Free Trade Agreement between the Southern Common Market (Mercosur) and the Republic of Singapore, an instrument signed by the Mercosur State Parties — Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay — and by Singapore, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, on December 7, 2023.
Kim Kataguiri: The Agreement constitutes the first free trade instrument concluded between Mercosur and a country from the Asia-Pacific region, which represents a unique commercial opportunity, given that it is a region with the greatest economic dynamism in the world.
