Kim Kataguiri: They invested in productivity, invested in infrastructure, invested in science and technology, all of which Brazil, in the last 40 years, chose not to do — chose the easy, lazy, populist path.
Kim Kataguiri: We had a succession of Presidents of the Republic who were only concerned with presenting the Budget to win the next election and zero concerned with making the Country grow, create jobs, generate income and make Brazil a developed country, which it could already be.
Among our peers, in emerging countries, productivity increased 128%.
Kim Kataguiri: In Brazil, 18%. Today, if we had decent governments in the last 40 years, the worker could already produce the same as today working four times less, but we had a succession of governments that approved measures like these, populist, that mean nothing in practice, that have no material change, no practical change in the economy, that do not generate productivity increases.
Kim Kataguiri: On the contrary. We only fell behind.
