Renan Santos: This plague came from Argentina and Uruguay, spread across the Brazilian countryside, destroys crops, eliminates local animals, attacks Brazilian fauna and biodiversity, and is already causing multimillion—and soon billion—dollar losses to Brazilian producers.
Eliminating the javaporco is an environmental issue, an economic issue and also a public health issue.
Renan Santos: And the federal government has to put hunters in place to eliminate the plague.
