Tabata Amaral: There are moments, in history, in life, when we need to leave some things in the past, when we need to make room for the new to arrive.
We need to listen to those mothers who are desperate because they are tired; because they are alone; because they are facing depression; because they are still in the hospital; because they are dealing with an illness; because they still cannot manage to do it on their own; and because they should not have to do it alone.
Tabata Amaral: I want to ask you to cast a vote for the children who have not yet been born, for those who deserve to have the father, in the first days, to build a bond; a vote for the fathers who have no idea how they are going to learn to do this, who are terrified, who are also insecure, and who, often, are aggressive because they do not know how to deal with that feeling.
Tabata Amaral: Vote, not looking at how you did it, at how you were treated, but vote for these families, so that they can have a little more time, space to get used to it, to cope with these changes, to invest in their families.
