I even joke that some men may not see this today, but this struggle is for them too, who will have this time to support their partners, to learn, to adapt, to be able to embrace this new reality.

Today, it is true, we had to wage a great fight so that this bill would not be removed from the agenda, but have no doubt about what I will say: in a few years (you can write down what I am saying) when we are discussing a new extension of the leave, this battle will not be necessary, because it will be the fathers who will benefit from the project we are voting on today, who will have 10, 15, 20 days of paternity leave, who will wage that battle in a few years' time.
