Tabata Amaral: Unfortunately, religion, ideological orientation, and whom they voted for President of the Republic do not matter, because none of that protects any of them.
Tabata Amaral: But these women voted for us who are here today.
And if we keep avoiding, postponing, delaying the vote on the bill that criminalizes hatred against women, it is these women to whom we are turning our backs.
Tabata Amaral: President, to conclude. In 10 years perhaps many of us will not remember the votes, the positions, the battles, the fights and discussions, but I am sure that every time one of us opens the news and sees that another woman has been raped, another woman has been assaulted, another woman has been threatened, each one will remember how they positioned themselves on the PL of Misogyny.
Tabata Amaral: May we vote next week honoring the agreement that was made and stop postponing.
