Tabata Amaral: It also raises a question for all of us: why do these women not feel safe to turn to the State?
It's our fault, it's also the fault of this Congress, because the State needs to ensure that every Brazilian woman finds, when filing a complaint, support and protection, and that she knows she will not be alone.
Tabata Amaral: I speak here of evangelical women, of Catholic women, of Spiritist families, of families that do not profess any religion.
Tabata Amaral: The aggressor does not ask whom that woman voted for, he does not ask what her religion is, he does not ask whether that woman is progressive, whether she is conservative, or whether she considers herself a feminist.
