Tarcisio: Few people know it, but the idea of connecting Santos and Guarujá by a tunnel arose back in 1924, more than 100 years ago.
Tarcisio: Since then, many people dreamed, many projects were presented, a scale model was unveiled, but none managed to leave the drawing board.
For decades, the crossing continued to rely on ferries, while millions of people faced queues, traffic jams and lost time every day.
Tarcisio: When I was at the Ministry of Infrastructure, we resumed studying this project.
Tarcisio: For the first time, it began to take real shape.
