Political Representation

Yes, they want to have my mandate revoked. Let's not mince words. I could lose my office and my political rights for eight years. All of it based on a lie that has already been defeated in court and characterized as political persecution. This is what happens to those who take up the fight for workers, for women and for marginalized populations in Brazil. Even my modest assets have become a problem while right-wing politicians multiply their money with impunity through MASTER sponsorship. But I will not bow my head. They will have to accept our presence in the spaces of power. For I am only the first of many. And to the left-wing figures who joined this campaign of hatred and persecution, I imagine it must be awful not to be able to mobilize their bases and to feel like a minor actor within our political spectrum, but worse still is to be a minor actor in a movement led by the right.

São Paulo is enormous, and because of its size and importance to Brazil, we cannot be content with representatives in the National Congress who do not have the same standing as our state.

That there were no workers in the National Congress.

And for the first time in the history of this State, we will elect two women senators of the Republic.

My election has to be the election of the victory of people like you over people like them.

And our project, and there's even the joke I make about tecnotenantism, right?
