   I have been married for 16 years, father of two wonderful daughters, and I have never disrespected, mistreated or humiliated a woman in my life. I would never do that to my own father's wife. I am 45 years old, with 24 years in public life, and I am known for my balance, politeness and respect toward everyone, even my political opponents. At no time did I offend or intend to offend Michelle. If I did so at any time, once again I apologize. I have respect for her and appreciation for her work in PL (Liberal Party) Mulher, for the care she has shown my father and for everything she represents for Brazil. Our entire family is going through a very difficult time. And I understand Michelle's anguish at seeing my father, every day, suffering such injustice. I also suffer, but I remain firm! Traveling around Brazil carrying the mantle my father gave me, spending days away from home, from my wife, from my daughters, unable to pray with them and give them a kiss before I go to sleep, suffering death threats and, even so, I remain focused on the mission. For I believe it is God's project for our country! I do not complain about the tiredness or the absence felt by my family; I only ask God for wisdom, health, strength and courage to do His will! I am absolutely convinced that we all share the same objective: what is best for Brazil and freeing ourselves from the left. It is natural that, at certain moments, people committed to the same purpose see different paths to achieve the best result. This happens in families, in companies and also in public life. Strategic disagreements do not mean divergences in principles. I am carrying out a mission assigned by Jair Messias Bolsonaro. All my decisions are always made with his backing. Always! Brazil needs to rid itself of Lula and the PT (Workers' Party). We must focus on that! Yesterday (Tuesday) I called Senator Damares Alves and asked her to organize a meeting next Wednesday with conservative female leaders so that I could learn from them, hear them, and they could help me build the best national plan for the women of all Brazil. Also yesterday morning I wrote to Damares: 'If you think it's appropriate to invite Michelle too, I'm open-hearted! Kisses!' This morning (Wednesday), I personally made a point of calling Michelle and inviting her in person. I made yet another unreciprocated gesture. She did not answer. I left a message. She also did not call back. To my surprise, this afternoon she published the video. The meeting next Wednesday is confirmed, to deal precisely with the solutions we will propose for the millions of Brazilian women who wake up early, work, and take care of their children and families. With an open heart, I extended the invitation to Michelle, precisely because I believe that dialogue, respect and unity will always be the best path. The invitation still stands and my heart remains open, because we have a Brazil to take out of the hands of the PT (Workers' Party). Brazil needs maturity, serenity and unity. Let us concentrate our energies on what really matters: building a better future for all Brazilians!
