   According to public data from Meta itself, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, the "Governo do Brasil" spent R$ 22 million on ads in the last 90 days. The amount is striking on its own. But it is even more striking because it occurs in an election year and precisely on the social networks that the government itself tries, at all costs, to censor under the pretext of "regulation". In light of that information, I filed a request for information with Secom to clarify which government bodies spent the money, on which campaigns, through which agencies, and using which targeting criteria. We will also file a Request for Oversight and Control so that the TCU audits these amounts. When it is to censor the networks, they say they are a threat. When it is to spend millions running propaganda on them, then they seem to work very well.
