About: defend and guarantee the civil rights of the LGBTQIA+ population

I'd really like to be able to say a big "fuck it" to that and that nobody depends on others' acceptance to be who they are. But a drop in acceptance of homosexuality turns into an increase in LGBTQIA+ young people being kicked out of their homes. It turns into hate speech on social media. It turns into death on the streets. And this decline is not natural. It is built by many hands. It is the result of the work of far-right politicians, fundamentalist pastors and priests, and the insatiable thirst for profit of the big techs. And, yes, this drop in acceptance of homosexuality is also the product of the cowardice of those who, two years ago, wouldn't miss a Pride Day to gain engagement off our community and now fall silent about our existences. Including left-wing politicians. No right is guaranteed. Our mobilization needs to be permanent and the struggle must be daily. Our community cannot think we've already "arrived." We cannot falter. And to the "right-wing gays" who are proposing to exclude bisexual, trans and travesti people and even lesbian women to be accepted, there's still time to wake up. Acceptance is not built by proposing exclusion. You're only postponing the moment when the target of hatred will be stamped on your foreheads.
