Erika Hilton: Conceição Evaristo taught us that they vowed to kill us, but we promised not to die.
We did not die. We are here, standing, occupying, even if only a few, the seats of this Parliament and contesting a project for Brazil that represents us, that reflects who we are, that places us at the center, that guarantees our rights and our dignity.
Erika Hilton: We will stand, alive, in celebratory festivity, celebrating another 10 years, 20 years, 30 years of the Black Women's March and fighting so that our history, our voice, our struggle and our path may open the way for future generations to live in a better society.
Erika Hilton: Our ancestors fought so that we would be here today.
