Nikolas Ferreira: There are people who say whatever they want here in this House, but the Right will never support stripping a Deputy of their mandate because of their words, opinions, or votes.
Nikolas Ferreira: In our democracy, they can say whatever they want, even things we disagree with; but in their democracy, we cannot say what we agree with and what they disagree with.
Therefore, this is not merely a vote like the one on some national day.
Nikolas Ferreira: We are voting on something extremely serious, which is parliamentary immunity, which is being made subject to personal whim.
Nikolas Ferreira: When it is a left-wing Deputy accusing another of being corrupt, connected to organized crime, fascist, Nazi, a rapist, homophobic, transphobic, or a pedophile, then it's allowed.
