And they were against the toughening of penalties in that respect.
Kim Kataguiri: Moreover, I recall that they asked here, at the podium beside me, to negotiate in the report to have the toughening apply only in cases of recidivism, that is, only from the moment you raped a second woman, only from the moment you killed a second woman, that you could have the harsher penalty.
Kim Kataguiri: We did not yield, the Rapporteur did not yield. We approved the toughening without the Left's vote.
